About This Service

What 24-hour and overnight care actually looks like.

Around-the-clock care works through carefully planned caregiver shifts — so your loved one always has a fresh, attentive presence, not someone who has been awake for 20 hours. Daytime caregivers handle meals, mobility, personal care, and daily routines. Overnight caregivers are awake and available for bathroom trips, repositioning, reassurance during confusion, and safety monitoring.

We fit our schedule to your loved one's routines, keeping nights as quiet and calm as possible while still prioritizing safety. We can start with overnight care only and expand to full 24-hour support as needed, or scale back when things stabilize.

For families who have been managing nighttime care themselves, this is often the change that gives everyone back a sustainable life.

Is This Right for Your Family?

When families reach out about overnight and 24-hour care.

Most families reach this point gradually — nights get harder, falls become more likely, and eventually checking in isn't enough. If any of these are true, it's worth a conversation.

You're afraid to leave your loved one alone at night

Every bathroom trip is a risk. Every hour of sleep you get, you're half-listening. This isn't sustainable.

Nights are broken by wandering, confusion, or frequent bathroom trips

Sundowning, dementia-related restlessness, or physical needs that don't follow a schedule — these require someone present, not on-call.

Family members are sleeping in shifts

You're taking the 2am checks, your spouse is taking the 5am ones, and everyone is exhausted. This is a sign the situation needs professional support.

A recent fall or hospital stay has changed how safe home feels

The risk feels different now. The house that was manageable last month feels less safe today.

Your loved one has memory care needs that make night especially risky

Wandering, confusion, and disorientation are more dangerous at night when visibility and response time are reduced.

Daytime care is in place but nights are still a problem

You have good support during the day but nights remain a gap. We can add overnight coverage without disrupting what's already working.

Figuring out whether you need overnight care only, or full 24-hour support, or something in between — that's exactly the kind of thing we sort out on the first call. No pressure to have it figured out before you contact us.

Our Process

What happens between your first call and care beginning.

Here is what actually happens between your first call and your loved one having a caregiver in their home.

01

You start the conversation

Tell us what's happening at home. What you're worried about. What a good day looks like now, and what you'd hope it could look like again. We listen first.

02

We meet in person

One of our Operating Directors comes to you. We learn your loved one's routines, preferences, and what matters to them. Then we design a care plan around that — not a template.

03

We match your caregiver

We match by fit — personality, experience, and schedule — and then introduce the caregiver before care begins. No one starts until everyone is comfortable.

04

We stay involved

Needs change. We check in regularly and adjust the plan as your situation evolves. You always have a real person to call — not a scheduling system.

In most cases, care can begin within 24 hours of your consultation. Learn more about how it works →

Real relationships, not rotating staff

We prioritize caregiver consistency. Your loved one builds a relationship with the same person, not a series of strangers.

When families are ready, we move fast. Most clients have a caregiver in place within a day of their initial consultation.

Common Questions

What families ask about overnight and 24-hour care.

These come up in nearly every conversation about extended care coverage.

Overnight care typically means a caregiver is present and awake (or available) during nighttime hours — usually 10pm to 8am or similar. 24-hour care means continuous caregiver presence across multiple shifts throughout the entire day and night. We'll help you figure out which level your situation actually calls for.
For overnight care, the caregiver is awake and available through the night. For 24-hour care, we use multiple caregivers across planned shifts so everyone is rested and attentive. We don't have one person working 24 hours — that's not safe for anyone.
Yes — this is actually the most common progression. Families often start with overnight care when nights become unsafe, then add daytime support as needs increase.
We prioritize consistency, especially for overnight care where familiarity matters for everyone's comfort and safety. Backup coverage is sometimes necessary, but we communicate clearly whenever a schedule change happens.
Standard Medicare doesn't cover non-medical around-the-clock care. Long-term care insurance policies often do — check for language around 'custodial care' or 'activities of daily living.' Some VA benefits also apply. We'll help you understand your options.
